My work with multilingual learners centers on a culturally responsive-sustaining curriculum designed to promote social justice and equity through creativity in order to build community as we work toward reframing, reshaping, and re-envisioning the future of English language teaching.
These principles guide my instruction with pre-service teachers at the University of Southern Maine in the MSEd in TESOL program. My workshops and presentations at local and regional conferences emphasize student and teacher identity, curriculum design, intercultural competence, and creating spaces of resistance to decolonize the English language classroom.
